Finish with Love
Capital Campaign 2021
As a congregation, we have built our church into a meeting place for everyone. Our gym has been used for upward sports and events which glorify the Lord. The lower level of class rooms is utilized by many groups and especially the students. It will also glorify the Lord to pay off the remainder of our loan and live debt free. It is time to reach the finish line, and there is no better way to do this than with Love.
Conception of the Family Life Center Began in 2006. Here are the statistics rounded for ease of information.
2006 – 2009 The Legacy Campaign began for the expansion of the Church. More than $1.2 million was pledged and a total of $1,235,000 was collected.
2008 – HUMC entered into a 10- year $2.5 million loan with Fifth Third Bank for the construction of the FLC.
2010 – 2012 Legacy 2 campaign began, with pledges of $800,000 of which $755,000 were collected.
2014 – 2017 The Reach campaign began with pledges of $808,000 of which $848,000 were collected.
2018 – In April we held a “Miracle Sunday” in which we collected $374,000.
2019 – 2020 We have continued to receive unpledged giving toward our debt, totaling $78,000.
Through our first loan and refinancing twice, we have collected a total of $3.3 Million in giving, leaving a balance of $344,000 outstanding. Brothers and Sisters, we are at the Finish Line.
What this church has accomplished is amazing and a representation of the love we all have for Christ, Church, and family. Hallelujah! We will start our final campaign on February 14th, with more details to come. We hope you will meet this challenge in the manner you have tackled every campaign, With Love.
For God so loved the world he gave his only son. He did this because he loved us all. Christ died on the cross so that we could have eternal life in Heaven. These wonderful gifts were given to us with Love, unconditional Love. There is no better way to end something than with Love. In the Book of Acts 20:24, it states, “If only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from Jesus Christ”. Let’s do this one more time to eliminate our debt and “Finish with Love”
